Finding Your First Customers
Where early customers actually come from, and how to build a weekly habit that produces leads.
By VBA Core
Start where trust already exists
Your first ten customers usually come from people who already know you, local proximity, or a community you belong to. Broad advertising rarely works before you can describe your offer sharply.
Pick two channels and commit
Spreading across six channels produces six half-efforts. Choose two you can sustain weekly for ninety days, then judge them on results.
- Direct outreach to a defined list
- Local search presence and reviews
- One social channel where your customers actually are
- Partnerships with businesses serving the same customer
Make following up the system, not the exception
Most lost sales are lost to silence. A simple, scheduled follow-up sequence outperforms clever marketing almost every time.
